Most people have known this for quite sometime. That is why competitors to the Wii kept stressing "attach ratio" as if it really matters. I mean the PS2 had a lower attach ratio than the Gamecube if memory serves me correctly. That didn't help the Cube much in the grand scheme of things, did it?
So, if we are not going to count Wii Sports, we can't count many of the titles the other systems have bundled with their systems. It becomes a tangled situation. And as the poster above me stated in Japan it isn't bundled at all and has sold over 2 million so, let that be with you.
The last straw to graps at, and I've seen on numerous sites start bringing up is "meta critic says" or "Well duh, Shovelware." What people fail to realize is one quality is subjective, so to each is own. But secondly, if the Wii is moving software like it is with so few "quality titles" (I disagree with that sentiment) What will happen to those numbers when the third party blockbusters start arriving? I mean the main Wii titles are leaping over the 10 million mark like it was a broom stick at a wedding.
Bet between Slimbeast and Arius Dion about Wii sales 2009:
If the Wii sells less than 20 million in 2009 (as defined by VGC sales between week ending 3d Jan 2009 to week ending 4th Jan 2010) Slimebeast wins and get to control Arius Dion's sig for 1 month.
If the Wii sells more than 20 million in 2009 (as defined above) Arius Dion wins and gets to control Slimebeast's sig for 1 month.
