It's one of the best-known faults of human thinking: the drive to turn to evidence which reaffirms your own beliefs, even if that evidence is inconclusive, partial, or useless in any perspective outside of a very limited application. MetaCritic does not actually measure "quality", because "quality" is entirely in the eyes of the beholder.
I know not many people like to admit it, but quantity is a far more reliable source of information, and the only trait which holds any meaning in terms of whether a game is truly "worthy". It doesn't really matter if a game is scored low on MetaCritic, because if it's one of the top selling games of all time, that clearly illustrates that it's successful, even if that site does not agree. In any and all markets, it's more important to make a profit than it is to get critical acclaim, because critical acclaim does not do the job of paying the bills anywhere near as well as selling 10 million copies of a game.
Sky Render - Sanity is for the weak.
