It might have been like that with early 360 games (launch ones, etc) but it's definitely not like that anymore. I can't imagine anybody looking at Madden 08 for the 360 on a HD tv coming back the next day and looking at the PS2 (or even Xbox) versions of the game on the same HD tv and thinking it's the same one, the differences in the games now are dramatic. It's more just people getting used to the graphics of the 360 or PS3 than there not being a huge difference. It's like when people play a NES or SNES game and the graphics aren't as good as they remembered it they're surprised by it.
