No, my PC is very standard. But I agree with you about the rest...

Get a backwards compatible PS3 and buy PS2 games.  Then you're HD ready but in no dire need for the newest games.

Then good luck finding one of those.

Not to mention that a PS2+360 combo is far cheaper than a used PS3 with BC.
