not to sure about that. you have to consider that not everyone will have one since it wasnt mandatory from the start. you cant alienate those people

 

Neither was a Hard Drive in the 360.  At least SD cards only cost a few dollars.

but ms didnt make game installs mandatory. and i believe their xbla content still has a limit

Um... neither did Nintendo.  And Microsoft's limit is several hundred megabytes.
