Let's also factor in that Nintendo, Sony and MS do not completely control those parts. IBM does for the CPU's, ATi for Nintendo and MS' GPU's and nVidia for the PS3 GPU.
It's not as simple as Nintendo saying, "Hey, let's do a die shrink next week."
