It doesn't matter if "it doesn't sell quality games" because the "Cheap dev cost/they made profit" excuse always comes in.

I think you should rephrase it to "it doesn't sell quality 3RD party games". We all know Super Mario is going to sell. We know Smash is going to sell. We know Zelda is going to sell. But what about, well most recently, Madworld? What about Zack and Wiki? What about Tales of Symphonia? What about House of the Dead: Overkill?

You can't then just toss out the "niche" card either. With the expanded audience of the Wii, that certain "niche" for a game has to be in there somewhere. Or is that niche the "hardcore" one, which, in fact, WOULD make those games sell better on the HD consoles?

Mad World? Sega said they were happy. Zack and Wiki? They said they might do something new with it. Tales of Symphonia? It sold better than ToV and is a spin off, and will reach 500k once it hits EU. Right now it's doing over 1k a week and will have legs for a while. HotD: Overkill? Should have legs for quite a while. Will reach 250k at a $50 price point, then when they lower the price it'll sell more. Even HotD 2 & 3 on Wii is nearing 1 mil, this will definitely reach there or close there and will make good profit for Sega.

Try again.

Good post, tres.

I don't think this is a discussion about how "happy" a company is. This is one about selling games. And in that sense, those games sold poorly. That's always the excuse, which I called out in my first post. You Wii fans should change your platform to "Wii games make profit" instead of arguing "Wii doesn't sell games" because in the end, only profit matters, right?
