Nintendo already went the route of being the most powerful console (N64) That didn't help. Nintendo already went the route of being similar in power to their competition (GC) that didn't help at all, in fact its their lowest selling home console ever (minus Vb). So you're saying Nintendo should have done the same thing again and expect a different result?

I see it the opposite way actually. Third parties are in the catch 22, due to them not forseeing the unprecedented success the Wii is having right now. They all wrote Nintendo off, and Nintendo has become the market leader, that has never happened before.

Nintendo is in the drivers seat. Look at the financial and business side of this industry. These huge investments made into HD development is causing companies to just bleed money, while Nintendo is rolling in the dough. Nintendo has thrown the donut in the water, and those that decide to grab it will survive, the others who decide to snub it will drown.

Bet between Slimbeast and Arius Dion about Wii sales 2009:

If the Wii sells less than 20 million in 2009 (as defined by VGC sales between week ending 3d Jan 2009 to week ending 4th Jan 2010) Slimebeast wins and get to control Arius Dion's sig for 1 month.

If the Wii sells more than 20 million in 2009 (as defined above) Arius Dion wins and gets to control Slimebeast's sig for 1 month.
