I wonder how many people will skip reading the actual post, and just talk about the game bombing/not bombing at retail?
On topic, has it done this again in the same spot? If so, it MAY be a disc problem. When this happens to me, I just use my disc doctor. It fixes the problem 90% or so of the time. Good luck dude.
