I guess the year launch advantage that people seem to forget cuts both ways.  

It will be interesting to see how 2009 plays out.  I think we are going to see the 360's attach rate drop in 2009, which is typically very bad news for a console.  My reasons include, more "casual" gamers buying at the $199 price, the best selling 360 titles will be sold as DLC and will not be included in many attach rates, and the 2009 announced catalog for the 360 is pretty thin so far.  The price conscious consumer probably won't be buying xbox live and they will not buy as many consoles as the early adopters.
