@Pristine: I do agree that Japan is in the best position to have a pricecut, but for the pricecut to come into realisation would require PS3 sold at a profit before the cut (it of course is possible in Japan at the moment). And even if it would be sold at a profit, in the current situation of Sony makes the cut a bit hard.
And yes, Wii has been trending down most likely due to 3rd party big hitters effectively evading the console with nothing big, aside from Wii Music that didn't perform up to expectations, from Nintendo either. Basically PS3 is performing about the same as always when system selling games are out, maybe slightly better, and Wii is experiencing a system seller drought at the moment. That's why exceptionally high and low.
