It's strange. I agree with every factor that you posted up there, every single reason why Super is superior to the NES version, and yet I still liked the NES version better for some reason. I'm not going to try to explain why, because I know I'll fail, but Mike Tyson's Punch-Out! was just more fun than Super Punch-Out!
Mind you, this is like losing the gold to Michael Phelps by under a second. Anyone who doesn't love both of those games just plain doesn't know what fun is...
