What makes you think I give a damn about PS3/360 sales? Is this what this thread is about? Try to stay on topic. Don't change the subject because I proved you wrong.

I was not just sitting here claiming a win, I was refuting your bogus post full of bogus claims and skewed comparisons. I was making a case for why the game should be multiplatform.

Why not refute my counters against your attach ratio remarks? Why not refute my counters against you purposely excluding Japan sales? Why not refute my counters against your "sales are tied" remarks?

Is it because you know you were wrong and then had to change the subject and go off-topic?

Saint s Row 2 and Dead Rising 2 will be multi-platform titles it is highly likely Lost Planet 2 will be multi-platform.

This was why I made my post, to show that the game will indeed be multi. At least we agree there.

Lost planet 2 will sell more ltd sales on X360. Legs in Na and Europe due to X360 having much larger install base in non-Japan. Non-Japan X360 has 10 million lead over PS3 that should helop ltd sales of any given game on X360.

Other than Lost Planet (due to being released 13 months prior) the other 3 mentioned titles sold more on PS3 in EU+Others. Yes the 10M lead will help, but it has yet to prove that it will guarantee higher sales in every case. In my opinion this has more to do with gamer demographic on each console rather than just userbase size.

Shooters do not sell very well at all in Japan. The Emo JRPG, obscure Japanese niche  games only tend to sell well in Japan. Lost Planet 2 is a shooter and Japan will not help its sales at all for PS3. So Ps3 will not be saved from being outsold by X360 in regards to Lost Planet 2 sales.

You could be right, Americas is stronger for the 360 in terms of shooters, even if multiplatorm with a simultaneous release 360 version can and probably will outsell it as shown my my Saints Row 2 comparison. Point of this thread is about not being exclusive though. I doubt the difference between sales would remain 4:1. Possibly more like 1.75:1 or 2:1.

In regards to me omitting Japan there is a reason. well the HD game sales (PS3 and X360) are very top heavy and sell 90% of their ltd sales in first two weeks.  80% of game sales in one week. 10% in second week and then 10% in the remaining weeks of its life on the market. The games sell relative to their install bases. PS3 outsells any given X360 game by around about 4  to 1 in favour of PS3.

Sales are still sales, they do not just get excluded to help prove a point.

The sales of the other regions do not follow the Japanese model and there are longer legs in Europe and NA regarding game sales of HD consoles.

*HD consoles refers to X360 and PS3 console only.

I like this much more than how we were going at it before. I enjoy this more.

To be honest though, I don't even know why I care. It is not like I even played the original game. I am just trying to help kill time during work so I can get out and continue playing ToV.

iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.
