IPS3 and X360) are very top heavy and sell 90% of their ltd sales in first two weeks. 80% of game sales in one week. 10% in second week and then 10% in the remaining weeks of its life on the market. The games sell relative to their install bases. PS3 outsells any given X360 game by around about 4 to 1 in favour of PS3.
The sales of the other regions do not follow the Japanese model and there are longer legs in Europe and NA regarding game sales of HD consoles.
*HD consoles refers to X360 and PS3 console only.
