"The PS3 was down in February two percent even with the launch of Killzone 2 -- that's months of year-over-year declines. Xbox continues to head north while the PS3 is heading south. We're gaining share." grenburng ftw!

Greenburg quickly forgets that the PS3 may have had Killzone 2 (for only 2-days mind you) but it also isn't coming off a price drop like it was in February 2008.

"Hemorrhaging" my ass.

If anything shouldn't Sony make more money this February on PS3 sales as opposed to last February's PS3 sales due to lowered production costs? Not sure how much the Yen affects it so of course I could be wrong.

2 things.

A game hyped like Killzone 2 will do the vast majority of sales the first couple of days, especially its impact on hardware sales.

Your not still coming off of a price drop 4 months after the price drop.  The only thing to say with all of the other current gen consoles increasing in sales is that the PS3 is loosing market visibility compared to the 360 and Wii.

of course price drops effect sales months afterwards. howelse do you explain 360 sales now and ps3 sales last year. if 360 doesnt have a price cut before next year it sales will be down just like the ps3 this year
