I think it's rather premature (still) to argue where SO4 is going to be at in terms of American LTD sales.

However, looking at Blue Dragon, Star Ocean 4 had a much better 2nd week - it's up 7,000 units (23k to 30k). Blue Dragon had a similar opening (BD @ 60k, SO4 @ 65k), and Blue Dragon had great legs - it managed a 6x multiplier.

So if we want to only go with 2 weeks of data, it should trend like Blue Dragon, and hit 390,000 in North America. Far cry from SO3 in NA, but not nearly as bad as your 250k prediction.

You could be right, but I think BD sales only did that because it was really the only JRPG available on the 360 until Lost Odyssey arrived.

The fact that Star Ocean is pretty much Enix's flagship series in the Americas and is possibly going to be beat by new IP's isn't good in my opinion.

It was also in some weird bundles.

Not saying it accounting for all it's sales, but still. It's a weird bundle.

And so far, SO will have similar legs to LO, but it's still 40% below.

I also think Blue Dragon good sales have to do with MS's overshipment of the game. We saw it at $20 less than six months after release.
