But that's just a PR theorycrafting approach. That's what car makers do: they advertise the car for 15.000$, restrict the availability of the cheaper version and use it as a hook to bait customers so the dealers can upsell them the 17.500$ version. The truth is the vast majority paid 600$/€ for their ps3 at launch and after the introduction of the 40GB the vast majority paid 400$/€. And the sales numbers reflect that: before the cut the ps3 was trailing behind the biggest failures in the industry, after the huge 33% effective pricecut it reached a higher plateau. You can argue semantics to support your argument but at retail, which is where it matters, the ps3 went from 600$/€ to 400$/€. Also, how come you don't own Vesperia? Goddamn, they sell the game in your territory and pass on it... jrpg distribution in Europe, sigh. |
So how much exactly did the 360 drop by then seeing as how the Arcade makes up most of it's sales? Also, if the 40GB was selling so well, why would they discontinue it?
I have some reading to do.
I didn't pick up Vesperia because I have never been a Tales fan. I own Symphonia but I just couldn't get into the battle style. I then purchased Abyss, I was actually enjoying it but then Fable II showed up and then later on The Last Remnant.
I will pick it up eventually, but that would have to come after Star Ocean 4.
@Squilliam
I agree, it is just something else to talk about than the normal stuff around here. It makes it fun for me.
iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.
