Honestly, I think it was because of marketing. Sonic on PS3 might have generated a little buzz, as would Sonic on 360. However, nothing -and I mean nothing- would be bigger news to anyone who's been gaming since the SNES/Genesis days than Mario and Sonic in the same game. And if that game's sales are any indication, it worked brilliantly.
Complexity is not depth. Machismo is not maturity. Obsession is not dedication. Tedium is not challenge. Support gaming: support the Wii.
