That sounds like the old EA. I think the publisher you're looking for is Activision-Blizzard.

I'd actually like to see that. An annual Final Fantasy would be hilarious.

Escpecially since they would be rushed and have technical issues if that really did happen.  EA don't want to go that route again since they know that it pretty much ruined the Need for Speed series.  Final Fantasy games have been known for polish and due to that as well as other reasons, the series has managed to maintain its credibility and popularity unlike Sonic, Tomb Raider, Need for Speed, Tekken, etc.

 

 

But you are missing the fun part about a yearly Final Fantasy.....it would be a rehash just like madden.  Same engine a little touch up and a little optimization and BAMB! Viva La Final Fantasy 2010 all consoles and pc.
