He's not depressed, he's just being cautious, so that he doesn't say something which might possibly have a chance of implying that MGS4 will be on 360.
It's all hopeless, though. He could say "MGS4 is getting trophies" and then cough, and the 360 fanboys (the same ones who call it a boring movie game) would say that they heard him say "Xbox" while he was coughing, and rumours would start up again.
Or he could say "Believe me", the 360 fanboys would recognise the word "Believe" as being one of Halo's slogans, and assume that this means that there will be a 360 port.
Etc.
