He's comparing it to Killzone 2, saying the hype engulfed everyone, and that people nitpicked on the slightest things. That didn't destroy the game, it just got it massive levels of hate from people who disliked/were indifferent to it anyway. Screw the haters, I say. I never would have heard of this game if not for the hype, I would have thought it would be another mediocre FPS.
Besides, God of War 3 >>>>> Killzone 2. And that's saying a lot.
