Well, on the one hand that probably means you'll become a flesh-less freak of nature, and now (evidently) your brain (sometimes?) will rot away over time until you become a mindless, flesh-craving monster.

On the other hand, you get to live in this wretched not-really-living state forever!*

*Or at least until one of us Vault folks puts a few rounds in your skull on his/her way to something more important. Like delivering some lingerie to a very lonely man who's living under a bridge.
