Everything in the 90's was shit? Megadeth made Rust in Peace in 1990 (their beast album IMO) and Countdown to Extinction in 1992. Testament released The Ritual (best album IMO) in 1992. Dream theater did Images and Words. Symphony X realeased The Divine Wings of Tragedy (which is not only their best album but one of my all time favorite records. And Meshuggah released Destroy Erase Improve and Chaosphere. I could go on and on about widely praised and influential albums from the 90's, so to say it's all shit is a bit of an unfair generalization. Also personally I find Master of Puppets to be Metallica's worst album even though I know many, many, MANY people will disagree with me. |
I was generalizing more about the late 90s and other genres of music. I wasn't even 10 in the 90s and I am still trying to catch up on the metal I missed from back then. I can understand why you would think Master of Puppets is their worst album, esp. since it sounds like leftovers from Ride the Lightning. But that's not the point.
The point is, Rust in Peace doesn't count because well, it was only released in 1990. Pretty sure they didn't record the entire album in 1990. Hell, I wouldn't know esp. since that's the year I was born.
New point: I will shut the fuck up, but what I said before I will stand by.
