Mass Effect was announced at GDC, I don't see why Trico can't be.
I can imagine it now. He is talking, giving some ideas, and he says "You can do X, like in this game I am developing:" and then a Trico teaser shows.
Or something less subtle: "In case you want to know what I am making, have a look here:"
