All kidding aside, the new layout looks fantastic and I can tell you, I'm VERY excited about the way it's coming out. Of course, there will always be the 'negative' people who will hate it (there were plenty that hated the current layout when it first released), but I'm confident the vast majority will absolutely love it.
I can also tell you from a programmer standpoint - showing 'teasers' isn't always helpful, especially when your elbows deep in early development. Feedback can get overwhelming and send you in too many directions at once causing the entire project to get delayed and/or completely off track. That said, at some point there will probably be some beta use going on as we get closer - when that will be, I can't say for sure, but it won't be too far off in the future. Brett's on a mission and is determined to put this site next to (or above) the 'big boys' (ign, gamespot) and I believe we are certainly headed that way with the new layout...

I'm still waiting for your cool new feature to be put live. That doesn't even have to wait for the next release of VGChartz

Yeah, I really need to push that out - give people a small taste of the things to come. Maybe I'll do it this weekend. I've been a little hesitant as I want to make sure I have at least a few hours available AFTER the push - just in case things turn to crap and I need to back it out quickly...
