as for yakuza 3 , i dont know about the game. never heard of it before part 3 was announced for the ps3. i think based off of what ive heard about the game it will do good in japan. but it seems like shenmue too me and that was a niche game, so overall i think star ocean 4:the last hope will outsell yakuza 3 in worldwide and lifetime sales.

Yakuza 2 is sitting at 760k in Japan, 40k in NA, no data for EU.

Star Ocean: Till The End of Time is sitting at 535k in Japan, 740k in NA, no data for EU.

In fact, I think we're predicting too high for The Last Hope, if a PS2 game did that much in Japan...

I wouldn't expect Star Ocean IV to hit a million, seeing as a PS2 game only got 1.3 million.

 

 

With good marketing and time it'll get there.

Even LO, a new IP,  is going to pass 1 mill in a couple of months so it should be possible for SO4 as well
