Oh, thank god. I'm not the only one who thinks this.
With you 100%. If it's survival horror, why am I in broad daylight? If it's a shooter, why can I not move while aiming? Why is the reloading system so god awful? Why would you put a laser sight in aforementioned broad daylight? If it's a hybrid, fair enough, but that doesn't excuse the lack of polish.
I've never really played the RE series, so I can't accurately scream SERIES MURDER!, but I can scream "GENRE MURDER!"
Look at Left 4 Dead. It's a zombie game. But it's good. It's innovative. The zombies don't move like elephants on pot. The tank is a much better miniboss than that strange THING with the axe.
The co-op seems nice, haven't tried it yet.
Perhaps part of this comes from the fact that I had just finished playing the KZ2 demo. RE5 felt incredibly slow in comparison.
