| Kwaidd said: the drive going bad might not have had anything to do with "your friend" dropping it on concrete would it? =p regardless, I definately have to say kudos to Nintendo for their customer service and support behind their system. I myself had a drive that had gotten louder and louder and was buzzin like mad, BUT everything worked just fine. (bought in Jan. 07, sent back in Feb. 08) They sent me a shipping label and I sent it out and got it back good as new IN UNDER A WEEK, and no cost to myself. Not only that, but when they do a repair...they auto extend your warrantee for an additonal year from repair date (regardless of purchase date). pretty slick indeed =) - kw |
Actually it was playing Brawl when he dropped it and it kept on playing even though it just smacked the pavement (we were playing outside on my friend porch, and it's been over 8 months between him doing that and when the wii stopped reading brawl)
But even for the Brawl error they'll extend the warrenty? SWEET!
Edit: your Wii was bought around the same time mine was and my Wii gave me the same issue, except apparently mine held out longer, it was kinda loud with WaW and with Brawl (until it stopped reading the disc) but most games were fine just a little hum was the most I'd get though it was a little louder then it was when I first got the Wii
