The places it will get a price cut, is japan definately in TGS they will get a price cut. As for europe Im thinking november. Then on march is the next america price drop.

I am 100% sure that Japan will get price cut. Wii is outselling PS3 there 3-1 and they have to do something.

When it comes to Europe(where i live), not so sure. I think price cut is very possible, but only around beggining or midle of December, just before Chrismas sales. PS3 sold extremly well in first two weeks(Europe) but after first million it slowed down drasticaly.

Japan 100% sure price cut before Christmas

Europe 60%-70%

why? so they can lose tons more money and barely gain any market share?  You do realize that the PS3 costs $430 in Japan right now, way lower than any other country.  A price drop in Japan just doesn't make sense, and Japan is a lost cause for Sony.  In Japan a system does well early and dominates, that's typically how it goes.

The dreamcast did well early and died. Not saying its the forecast  for the wii since its a nintendo console, which is currently popular in japan. SCEJ knows that the ps3 needs to sell better, they will drop the price, its as simple as that, if they leave the price as it is the ps3 may be doomed in japan. They need to do it, to double ps3 sales,as for europe dont be suprised if theirs a new heavenly sword F1 bundle, along with the resistance motorstorm package should increase sales slightly.
