The ps3 should stay around ~15 k units for at least a few more months.  Yakuza 3, Stret Fighter IV, Resident Evil 5 (though this series is dying in Japan), and the FFXIII demo should see to that.

 

The holiday season is over. We are back to business as usual for Japan. During the summer the PS3 was doing around 6K/week if I remember correctly. I see no strong reason why this will not repeat itself going forward. Yakuza 3 and SF will give the PS3 some blips of growth, but not too much.

I am willing to take a side bet that the PS3 will average no more than 12K/week through Feb and March. The 360 will be at the 6K level.
