Full scale Pokemon RPG for home consoles - Why not?

It depends on where Satoshi Tajiri wants to take the series really.  The original vision of Pokemon was being able to exchange creatures through a cable.  Even though the DS/lite/i don't have a Link cable, I think they made a comprimise with wireless.  Probably the reason why there are still LINES during trades in D/P/P.
