Well, as a guy who's with Nintendo during the hardest times, Matt ought to be more than happy for Wii to be in front, regardless of what types of games make it sell.

He's like a beggar who feels depressed now that he's won the Euromillions and living in a big mansion rather than on the streets.

Nah, Matt has the right attitude (in one way). He followed Nintendo not because it was "Nintendo," but because it delivered him the games he liked. Where he's wrong is in thinking that because Nintendo is also aiming for the Expanded Audience, it must be ignoring the Core gamer.

It's rather like a child whose parents have a second kid. The first child thus starts thinking that Daddy doesn't love him anymore. It's sad and pathetic, but it's also the attitude that most game bloggers have taken.
