It will be interesting to see how things go. Sony is in such a tough spot finacilaiiy that a price cut is nearly impossible. I expect Sony to try and go with MS's 3 sku stratagy to counter losses if PS3 sales are felt to be to low by the company. We disscussed this in another thread;
80GB - $299 (basic model, mabye remove Wifi/internal PS)
160GB - $399 (HDMI, Headset)
250GB - $499 (HDMI, Headset, BR Remote, First Party Game)
This would give Sony a chance to sell around 40% of units at break even to profit, while 60% or so would sell at a loss. If Sony goes in this direction, I think they could get away with a pricfe cut, and potentialy gain back a little ground on Microsoft. With this stratagy they could stay close to were they are right now in the hardware profits/depisits, while raising SW sales to a profitable income.
