So why is everyone so anal about games?

Orange Box PS3 isn't unplayable, but almost every review mentions those framerate issues, so they're undeniable there.

I have my PS3 only 10 days, but it's easily on the way to surpass my 360 with freezing problems
Already happened 3 or 4 times.
