2008 started off slow, but the price cut really propelled console sales for MS. Sure, they aren't Wii numbers, but it's the best it's ever sold, especially when PS bots were all around with their doom threads.
In light of this, even if MS lays off folks, it's not in the financial mess than Sony is in.
