I gotta agree here, what the hell was SE thinking making one big fat(and extremely costly I am sure) project that take forever to make instead of simply doing the next installement of the franchise then doing the stupid spin off after it's released if it sold well. If they did that FF13 would be out already(Wohoo!) and they would have there 3+ million seller and one free developement team instead of no multi million seller and all there team busy.

This is the kind of stupidity that put them in trouble back in the PS1 era with the Spirit Within. This is simply a matter of not putting all your egg in the same bag.

 

They're investing a LOT into FFXIII and its hopeful success and popularity. The game is probably going to be awesome...

That said, yes, the spinoffs are getting a little annoying, but can you blame them!?

Look how well FFX-2 sold.

Hell, I bought a copy of Revenant Wings for the DS, just because I like Balthir.
