Why is it a ripoff? Because the game is old? Because you bought it on a previous system?
When you bought a movie on laserdisc for $40 in the early 90s, did you feel you were being ripped off when the same movie was sold on DVD for $30 6-7 years later?
Gimme a break, these VC games cost $50 or more back in the day, and the best of them are so timeless they give the same value as any new offering. $5-10 is dirt cheap for classics like Sonic the Hedgehog, Super Mario Bros 3, Ocarina of Time, Super Castlevania, etc.
If you think it's too expensive because you already own the game, go blow the dust off your old system, it probably still works.
