if you look at that graph, both systems were about dead even for the first year. After that the PS3 took off (comparatively) and got ahead. However, you need to take into consideration that the PS3 started 1 year behind, and if you look farther along the graph you'll notice that the X360 really took off in its third year, while the PS3 is starting to slow down.

As shown in this graph, the PS3's second full holiday season in all regions, was actually lower than the first one. While the X360's third full holiday is way bigger than any other holiday sales on that graph.
So yes, there is concern about how the PS3 is performing and rightfully so.
