I don't care for either style to be honest. The women in the anime art look atrocious. The female lead looks like an anime rendition of Olive Oil. The guys don' t look bad in the anime style.
As for the CGI style. the male lead should fire his barber immediately. The women still look off to me. Overall the CGI just looks uninspired. The characters have a lifeless doll look to them, even the ones that did make the transition to CGI well.
If I had to choose I'd pick the anime style because it goes with the in game graphics better. Both could use serious work, particularly the CGI look.
