I for one would like to see many more first person Metroids. But I agree they could take a break; in the meantime, create a state-of-the-art 2D Metroid, not for DS, not for Wiiware, but for Wii! Fully 3D rendered world but with a 2D sideview and gameplay like New Super Mario Bros.
The sequel to Super Metroid that we never got (Fusion and Zero Mission, while good, are a lot weaker than Super Metroid).
