I dunno, I think the NES and SNES both got a fair amount of hate piled on them. Granted, you'd never know about the NES hate if you weren't in tune with the PC gaming crowd of the era. A lot of PC gamers refused to acknowledge the NES (or SNES, for that matter) as gaming devices or contenders for the same market as PC games, they hated them so much. And of course, Sega supporters piled plenty of anti-Nintendo hate out during the heyday of the Master System and especially the Genesis.
