@Pete Beast: And since Dual Shock 3 is Sixaxis with rumble, i'm having trouble in seening your point.
As i said already, M$ is already doing their test on how the market reacts; Lips has motion sensitive mics. The problem with M$ with not yet having their own "general use" motion controller is that they are more interted in taking down PS3 than to fight a costly fight with Wii - and to lose it. Besides, any of their "big games" didn't support the peripheral (which usually aren't very successful), so it's better to focus on next gen and to a fight where you actually have a chance to fight.
In current gen hardware sales, after Wiis release, Wii has more than 50% marketshare. Also notice that a number of PS3:s have been bought as a BD player. The key in Wiis success, is the games that take advantage of the motion controls and by judging the sales, the motion controls section is winning. MKWii, Brawl and RE4 can be played with the GC controller, out of the big named games, but judging by the overall games sales, people who buy these games, are the ones who buy a lot more games too - that use the motion controls.
I doubt M$ and Sony are so blind to see what and how drives Wii sales, so they unlikely stick to pads next gen.
