but yeah I see your point. I think the only question is whether or not a new medium will emerge in the coming years like Holograph storage that will compete with BluRay before it beats out DVD.

 

 In the US retailers stopped selling non-digital ready TV's in 2007 for preperation of the TV upgrade that is happening in like 40 days. It was a law.
