Give high posting VGCharters the power to give 1 day bans?

If it's such a terrible suggestion be modly and come up with something better, because while this was only an isolated incident, the aim should be to try and ensure it doesn't happen again.

The problem is that these one day bans wouldn't take care of an idiot like the one you mentioned (luckily I missed almost all of the stuff he did). Only a permaban would clean the forum from all this crap, so the only solution is to have more mods to ensure that at least one of them is online at any given time.

At least this is a solution. 

Giving out a short ban should at least stop the guy from posting for a while, stop him bumping the threads and keep it off the front page. Or what about post-editing privileges?
