Eh, I'm not setting myself up for anything.  I don't have a DS or PSP nor am I interested in a FF7 remake.  I was merely commenting on the platform that had the most related game line-up to FF7.

 

I am fully aware of what system Dawn of Souls was on - I also know that it outsold either of the PSP remakes in Japan alone. It made Square a lot more money.

The fact that they release Crisis Core on the PSP is not necessarily indicative of anything. If it were, the FFIV sequel and remake would have ended up on the same system.

So you're comparing a mature GBA fanbase (at a time when the GBA had what for competition?) to the PSP fanbase at those releases?  I see.

I would expect all the 8/16 bit remakes to go on the DS.  That isn't surprising.  Seeing an FF7 remake on the DS would be surprising though.
