Final Fantasy II Anniversary Edition for the PSP says hi.  It's bad form when you tell someone else they're wrong and are wrong in your own next sentence.

You can shout DS as much as you like but it still doesn't make it right with Dissidia and especially Crisis Core on the PSP side which are more related to FF7 than all of the DS titles put together.

Touché; I ha assumed that the PSP remakes of the first two games had come out before FF3, but in fact they did not.

It does not change the fact, however, that they were very heavily advertised and did not even break 300k copies apiece, whereas the DS remakes did better numbers than that in any single region. Hell, Dawn of Souls did better than that, and that did come first.

Dissidia is Smash Bros. for Final Fantasy, and would not have worked the same way on the DS - it is not in any way tied into the FF7 name. The FF7 cast isn't given special prominence. The FF1 cast is, perhaps.

As to Crisis Core - doesn't matter. Crisis Core was announced and began development during a time when it was unclear as to whether or not the PSP would make a comeback.

Like I said - I don't expect th remake on the DS. Maybe the Wii, depending on how long the system is out. The PSP is just a pipe dream, though, andy ou are only setting yourself up fo disappointment.
