@Arsenicazure: Famicom Disc System and 64DD had proprietary discs if i recall, but GC and Wii doesn't. Wii uses standard 12cm DVD and GC used standard 8cm mini DVD (as their tech). What's proprietary, is the DRM, copy protection and the disc being compressed "reversed".
