-LCD's in larger sizes are more expensive than plasmas.
-plasmas have superior viewing angles
-Plasmas support multiple resolutions- for eg SDTV doesnt look all distorted and pixely on plasmas because of this, whereas LCD's display ONLY at their native resolution.. everything is upscaled to that resolution-so more artifacts/distortion.
and a high end panasonic plasma or kuro will simply blow off a high end LCD. This isnt a LCD vs plasma thread btw but I thought id clarify it anyhow.
Doubt is not a pleasant condition, but certainty is absurd.
