Agreed, but if five or six JRPGs come out on one system, and the other system has one, and that one outsells all of the other JRPGs, how can that not be a good thing?

Don't want to be harsh here, but it is the frigging 360 in Japan you're comparing it with, aka the shooterbox. PS1 and PS2 had 90% of all the JRPGs in their generations, here everyone is celebrating a solid, yet not spectacular, 132k for a JRPG from a respected developer for the successor to THE JRPG consoles that hasn't seen a single quality JRPG yet. Sure it will sell somewhere in the 200k's, but that's nothing to cheer about after all the hype about how this game would show that the JRPG fans were still on Playstation.

Both sides are massively overreacting here.

Of come now. The PS3 has had some good JRPGs. Just none of the released have been traditional (ie not a ARPG or SRPG) or a new title (Eternal Sonata being a late port)
