Not at all. Dark Cloud 1 sold less than 100k lifetime in Japan.

But their last effort, Rogue Galaxy, sold over 350,000 in Japan. That'd be a better barometer, I think.

Self ownage.

First you claim WKC only sold better only because the PS3 has a bigger install base than the 360 and then say the 360 JRPG's have a better attach rate. Now you want to compare a game on the PS2 with an install base of 20M to a game on the PS3 with an install base of 2.7M, thats 7:1.

Self ownage.

Install base is always self ownage.

If it's all isntall base, then how can CoD: WaW PS3 or CoD: WaW 360 > CoD: WaW Wii?

How is DMC4 PS3 > DMC4 Wii?

How is Burnout Paradise PS3 not too far behiind BP 360?  Should be much lower considering install bases.

And PES and Fifa PS3 > 360.

The argument is fundamentally flawed, and when brough into any argument shows true desperation from the poster that is unable to concede that they were incorrect.

Like I said, This thread is Hilarious.

I agree, but did you see my next post? I thought that it was a better point.

"I agree, but at that time the PS2 had what 20 million consoles out there?

And Dark Cloud released in December of 2000 when the PS2 had 3.4 million consoles sold.

So, DC 1 and WKC are both new ips (at the time of release). Both released during late December, and had more similar userbases. Why couldn't Dark Cloud be used as a barometer?

WKC needs to do much better given the budget and time spent, but realistically, the two games are similar."

"We'll toss the dice however they fall,
And snuggle the girls be they short or tall,
Then follow young Mat whenever he calls,
To dance with Jak o' the Shadows."
